ChatGPT Can Now Order Food, Play Music, and Book Rides
OpenAI's new app integrations let you connect Spotify, Uber, DoorDash, Canva, and more directly inside ChatGPT — no tab-switching required.
Quick answer
ChatGPT now integrates with Spotify, Uber, DoorDash, Canva, Figma, Expedia, and more through a new Apps system. You can order food, book rides, create designs, and manage services directly from the chat interface. Connect apps via Settings > Apps and Connectors, or just mention an app by name in your prompt.
ChatGPT Can Now Order Food, Play Music, and Book Rides
ChatGPT just got a lot more useful. OpenAI has launched a new Apps integration system that lets you connect popular services — Spotify, Uber, DoorDash, Canva, Figma, Expedia, and more — directly inside the chat interface. Instead of switching between apps to get things done, you can now just… ask.
The idea is straightforward: ChatGPT becomes the one place you go to manage your day. Tell it “order me a burrito from DoorDash” or “create a workout playlist on Spotify” and it handles the action through your connected accounts. Uber lets you book rides through conversational commands. Canva generates designs for social media or presentations. Target builds a shopping cart based on gift suggestions. Travel booking through Expedia and Booking.com is also live.
To get started, you have two options. Either mention an app by name in a prompt — something like “Spotify, give me a chill study playlist” — or go to Settings > Apps and Connectors to browse the full gallery. Each connection uses OAuth, so you approve exactly what data gets shared before anything happens.
The partner list keeps growing. Wix just joined, letting users prompt ChatGPT to build a functional website from scratch. OpenTable, PayPal, and Walmart are confirmed as coming soon. Right now the rollout is U.S. and Canada only, with European access still pending.
What this means for you
This is a genuine shift in how AI tools fit into daily life. Previously, ChatGPT was great for answering questions and generating content — but it couldn’t actually do things in the world. Now it can. You’re not just talking to an AI; you’re telling it to act on your behalf across the apps you already use.
If you’re already a daily ChatGPT user, head to Settings and start connecting accounts. The most useful starting points are probably Spotify for personalised playlists and Uber or DoorDash if you use food delivery regularly.
The bigger picture: OpenAI is clearly positioning ChatGPT as the central operating layer for your digital life. Whether that’s exciting or slightly terrifying probably depends on how much you trust AI to handle your dinner order without it going sideways.
